The A team also had a fine win. Ben Arulampalam and Will Christmas creating opportunities from midfield. Charlie Miles scored a good goal, converting from close range. In the second half  RHS excelled; Nick Paddon was excellent in supporting the midfield and ensured that the team played the best hockey of the season – Ben Arulampalam secured the win with a cool finish. The U15A came across a very strong and talented Norwich side losing heavily.

3rd XI v Norwich (L 2-1)
After conceding a very early goal the 3rd XI fought back well and Matt Cantelo scored a remarkable reverse sweep goal to level the score. Spirits were high at half time, but a Norwich goal midway through the second half made the final score 2-1 to Norwich.

2nd XI v Norwich (D 1-1)
A very good performance by the 2nd XI in a closely contested game. RHS played attractive, controlled hockey and forced a penalty corner midway through the first half which was driven home by Brendan Tait. Goalkeeper, Sam Connor, snuffed out any threat from the visitors. Norwich pressed for an equaliser late in the game but the RHS defence looked in control, led capably by Will Anstey.

1st XI v Norwich (L 4-1)
The 1st XI started slowly against Norwich as Lyam Thorpe’s excellent goalkeeping kept the deficit down to 2 within the first ten minutes. In the second half, the midfield of Josh Allday and Tom Miller created numerous chances for the home team, but unfortunately they could only capitalise on one of these as Ollie Lovejoy finished off a well-worked team goal. Norwich scored another short corner just after this to knock the wind out of the RHS sails and the game finished 4-1.

Junior Teams v Norwich

The junior first team played their first eleven aside game of the season. They struggled at the start against a Norwich team much more experienced in the full pitch game. However, the response was fantastic and, had any of a barrage of shots in the final 2 minutes hit the net, RHS would’ve had a more than deserved result. The game finished 2-0 to Norwich despite some excellent team play along with a stand out performance from Alex Oxley.

The Junior 2nds played a very good game against a skilful opposition. Ed Fairley was tireless in the centre of midfield and Josh Frame organised the defence well. The opposition had few forays into our D, manage to score one and run out winners 1-0

The 3rd team struggled early on to come to terms with the grass pitch. To their credit, they quickly adapted their style and technique and started to turn things around. They dominated large parts of the second half but couldn’t score. Norwich ran out 4-2 winners. Cory Stone and Josh Waylett were especially effective.

The Junior 4ths drew 2-2 playing some reasonable hockey on grass. Elliot Chilvers played well with his big hitting causing problems from defence. Goals came from striker Joe Careless and Luke Clark -Smith played well in goal.
