General Hockey RHS

Wednesday 22 January:

Junior 1st XI v Woodbridge (W 2-0): The first team improved over the week overcoming Woodbridge 2-0. A good finish from Fergus Atkins on his reverse stick and a bullet strike from the top of the D from Tom Ponsonby sealed the win for RHS.

2nd XI v Woodbridge (L 1-0): The 2nds produced a fine all round performance from a new team showing excellent promise for the forthcoming games. An impressive display from Harry Sargent and Harry Fosker in defence was supported by fine efforts from Finn Anderson and Will Carter. Despite dominating possession, RHS failed to convert and lost to a breakaway goal in the second half.

3rd XI v Woodbridge (L 1-0): At home the 3rds lost 1-0 but Cameron Jordan played well in attack.

4th XI v Woodbridge (W 3-2): A win for the 4th XI with keeper, Max Cullinane, having a great match.

Saturday 25 January:

U14A v Framlingham (L 5-0): The U14As performed well against a very strong Framlingham side. Xavy Bull and Charlie Kilham had an excellent games, repelling most attacks with skill and determination. Ben Arulampalam also played well. Despite a lot of positive play, RHS lost the game 5-0 with Sam Christmas playing valiantly in goal to keep the score down.

U14B v Framlingham (L 2-0): Away the U14Bs played in an open end to end game but unfortunately the opposition forwards were more clinical than the RHS strike force and an even game ended 2-0 to the home side.

U15A v Framlingham (L 2-3): The U15As played in a tightly contested and physical match. An early goal from Framlingham forced  RHS to increase their intensity. Excellent shape in the midfield, particularly from man of the match, Richard Vallance, produced chances which Alex Finding and Ben Conner converted into goals. However, Framlingham managed to answer back for every goal, making the final score 2-3.

U15B v Framlingham (L 2-1): The U15Bs lost 2-1 with Matt Saxby once again on the score sheet and Lexy Peterson being heroic in goal.

3rd XI v Framlingham (L 4-2): After a sparking first half performance and good goal by Matt Cantelo, RHS 3rds were worthy leaders at half time. However, 2 minutes of madness immediately after half time allowed Framlingham to score three goals. RHS came back with a cracking goal from Charlie Wuidart-Gray but unfortunately Framlingham scored again in the last minute to make the score 4-2. George Petrides and Cameron Kerr were men of the match.

2nd XI v Framlingham (D 1-1): The 2nd XI began slowly and conceded a breakaway goal after just three minutes. The rest of the first half chances were squandered including a run of four penalty corners. In the second half RHS had all the possession but only managed one goal -the well struck equaliser by Alex Rayment came from a tight angle. Man of the match was Will Matthews.

1st XI v Framlingham (L 4-1): The 1st XI suffered a 4-1 defeat against a tidy Framlingham side. The team composed themselves after half time and Jessie Vogel found the back of the net but the damage had been done. Player of the match was Drew Felstead.
