The U13s took part in the Suffolk Mini-Hockey Tournament at Framlingham on Monday 27 November and, as result of some determined and exciting play, the girls are through to the Regional Finals in March.

Match 1: v Ipswich

Despite a delay on the way to Framlingham, the team went charging on and won 3—0. Tilly Arulampalam scored 2 and as a result of a good pass by Tor Williams, Catie Bennett sneaked the ball past the keeper for the third.

Match 2: v Orwell Park

Year 7 pupils Charlotte Stenning and Yasmin Gradwick-Light both played excellently in this game resulting in a draw 0—0.

Match 3: v Woodbridge

There were 7 short corner opportunities in this match and Millie Salter and Tilly Arulampalam scored one each with a final score of 2—0. Some very slick and impressive hockey was seem from both girls.

Match 4: v Old Buckenham Hall

Annie Paddon had a great game as striker. RHS unfortunately conceded one goal and lost 1—0 but were still through to the Semi-Finals.

Semi-Final v South Lee

This was a tough match but Annie Tavainavesi was exceptional in defence and another Millie /Tilly short corner resulted in a 1-0 victory and a place in the Final.

Final v Brandeston

Brandeston were strong but the RHS girls rose to the challenge and there was some excellent play. The match went to penalty shuffles and despite all efforts RHS eventually lost out 2-1. The team have still secured a place in the Regional Finals in March and Tilly Arulampalam was awarded Player of the Tournament.
