This summer the School has been a hive of activity as the Estates Team work to improve the facilities and make adjustments for the coming year.
Raleigh House received a lot of work to allow for the increased number of day pupils giving more space for both social and working areas. Both Blake and Drake have been converted to support the co-ed occupancy that started this term and a lot of work has gone into the move of Cornwallis girls over to Anson and the creation of the Collingwood Annex in Cornwallis.
There has also been a great deal happening on the sports fields with the grounds team supporting the Minor Counties Cricket Festival, Peter Hall’s last frenetic bowls season and the transition from summer to autumn sports.
Most departments have had a refresh before the start of term and the Old Music School has been converted to provide classrooms for the Politics and Psychology Departments. Further work was also carried out in the Design Technology Department to create a superb new print making classroom.
A busy summer for the team!
