The start of the new school year will see a few changes to the Music School. Not only is there a new Director of Music, William Saunders, but we will also be welcoming a new Head of Singing, Dominic Peckham.

Dominic is regarded as one of the UK’s finest young conductors and an ambassador of choral music in performance and his critically-acclaimed educational work. Dominic has held a number of posts within the musical world and has worked with a huge variety of people. He brings this experience and knowledge to RHS.

His first project will be the ‘Great Britten!’ choral workshop on Saturday 9 November. This event will be part of Aldeburgh Music’s ‘Friday Afternoons’ project, which celebrates the centenary of Benjamin Britten’s birth. Local schools, and individuals, are invited to come and join us for this energy-filled, fun packed vocal day which will see the pupils singing a range of music; from crazy Lady Gaga ‘mash ups’ to the unique sounds of Benjamin Britten. This promises to be an unforgettable event. For more information contact Kate Evers on 01473 326136 or kevers@royalhospitalschool.org
