Over the last few weeks RHS sailors have been very busy competing across the country, challenging for their places in National Squads.
At the end of the summer Joe Butterworth won the 420 Inlands at Grafham Water cementing his place in the GBR squad for the coming year.
Freddie Chiddicks has qualified for the GBR Radial Youth Squad with excellent results in the qualifiers where he finished 1st in the National U17s.
Dominick Burke came 3rd at the recent 49er Inlands beating many of the top sailors in the country (including the national coach!). As a result of this excellent performance he has been invited to train with the Olympic Squad at the National Sailing Centre in Weymouth over the coming months.
“RHS now has more sailors than any other School in the East of England competing for Great Britain” Andy Nutton, Director of Sailing
The success in Fleet Racing is complemented by the Team racers who beat Norwich School in their most recent encounter and came a respectable 4th in the South East BSDRA event at Canterbury.
