The Royal Hospital School 1st XI goalkeeper, Florence Gould, gained her first representative honour with the East of England JRPC (Junior Regional Performance Centre) Hockey Team.

She has been attending specific coaching and training sessions for the past couple of years as one of two goalkeepers and attended training throughout last term and in the summer holidays.

After being selected to play in two fixtures against Kent and Essex, Flo said, “Playing with other girls of such a high standard has helped me develop as a hockey player and I feel that my game has really advanced.”

Catriona Herbert, Head of Girls Sport, said, “Congratulations to Flo and a huge thank you to her parents who have supported her throughout this process.”

Flo was presented with her representative shirt in assembly by the Headmaster.
